Crowdfunding Task: The Cyanide & Happiness Adventure Game

The Kick Starter project I have chosen is called 'The Cyanide & Happiness Adventure Game'. The creators goal for the project was to raise a total of £300,000 by October the 5th 2017. They have exceeded this goal by £37,400 with 24 days to go and have 9,400 backers. Prior to this pitch  'Cyanide & Happiness' was a YouTube series that consisted of satire, black comedy that takes form as an innocent animation. This series has a large following of 7.5 million. 

The project is a point and click adventure game that will be released on PC. It takes place in the 'Cyanide & Happiness' universe, playing as a group of high school students when the apocalypse happens. So throughout the game you will be solving puzzles plus interacting with all the characters from the You Tube series. Chris Wilson (Creator + Co. Writer of C&H)  &   Roger Barr (video games creator) will be making the video game together.

I think that this game will be successful and is receiving so much positivity, because of its large following prior to the pitch. With 'Cyanide & Happiness' being such a popular show and comic it seems inevitable of it thriving in the video game industry.
